Hi, my name is Ilze and I come from Latvia, though I’ve been living in Paris for a while (since April 2010). My passion for food started a long time ago, when I prepared food for my family. I enjoy cooking as much as I enjoy sharing a good meal with my family and friends. Cooking is like travelling, which in another passion I have – the more you see, the more you learn. It is here in France that I have been able to explore my passion – there is so much great food to be tasted and tried! As of late, my specialization has been “la pâtisserie”: cakes, cookies, desserts and a lot more. I’ve done two courses in a cooking school to get a better understanding how French baking is supposed to work and it is incredibly tasty, and fun

But… my blog won’t be just about French patisserie – I’ll try to share my best recipes from all of the places where I’ve been – Latvia, Spain (my husband is from there), France, Germany, Mexico, Portugal… and much more.
